Our groku green values
7 values, 1 strategy

Environmentally friendly on principle
Our groku green values define the way we think and act. They are our holistic sustainability strategy with which we make the vision of the better bucket a reality.
Our groku green values are:

Conservation of resources
Efficient and sustainable in all areas.
Conservation of resources
The resources available to us are not infinite. However, our efforts to find ways to optimize them are.
In order to save emissions and resources, we are continuously working on optimizing the weight of our packaging buckets.
We only process certified recyclates and rely on innovative technologies and green energy. We try to save as much energy as possible.

Product design
Made for recycling.
Product design
For us, sustainability begins with the design of our products. Our motto right from the start is: “Design for recycling”.
Most of our plastic buckets are made of pure mono-material, regardless of the ratio of virgin material to recycled material. There are no limits to branding and color variety.
We work with various recycling companies to ensure that all products can be ideally returned to the recycling cycle. The recyclability of our buckets has been independently rated as “good” to “very good”.

Visibility
Traceable and certified.
Visibility
Our plastic buckets made from post-consumer recyclate (PCR) have been proving their worth for years and have already been produced more than 30 million times.
The mixing ratio of PCR and virgin material can be freely selected – without any loss of quality. All of our non-food customers could theoretically switch to recyclate buckets today.
The REDcert² seal proves that we use genuine, traceable recycled material in our end products. As part of this, we provide support with certificates on the subject of CO2 savings.

Initiatives
Taking responsibility together.
Initiatives
To continuously improve our carbon footprint, we rely on specific measures that we regularly review and develop further.
We are guided by the goals of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) to ensure that our climate targets are scientifically sound and ambitious.
Our common goal is clearly defined: a CO₂ reduction of at least 40% by 2030.

Close circuit
Reused and reused.
Close circuit
Our packaging buckets are designed so that they can be used several times. Many of our robust and resealable buckets are used for gardening or DIY work after their first use.
They can be returned to the recycling cycle at any time. Buckets that are no longer needed can easily be returned via the yellow bag, recycling centers or collection points.

Awareness
Raising awareness in an honest and engaging way.
Awareness
Awareness of sustainability is stronger than ever. With our extensive experience in the use of recycled materials, our honest sustainability promise and the greatest possible transparency, we are making a real contribution.
We want to inspire others with our zest for action. In personal cooperation with our partners, we find individual solutions – in consulting and concrete implementation.

Human
From the individual to togetherness.
Human
Sustainability starts with each individual. Individual behavior in terms of consumption, energy consumption and recycling has a major impact on our planet.
By working together as equals, supporting each other and sharing knowledge unselfishly, we can put sustainability into practice together.
We have created the framework conditions for this at our locations. Together, we pursue the same goals, because ethical and social responsibility is our top priority.

They define: how we produce.
We design our production and our packaging buckets to be as energy- and resource-efficient as possible.

They define: how transparent we are.
We disclose how sustainable our processes and materials are and make recyclability measurable.

They define: how we work together.
We promote cooperation at eye level and want to inspire others to follow our path.
Seals and partnerships
Together and reliably for more sustainability.
